Even though I mostly use an x-acto knife these days, there is something irresistible about a beautiful pair of scissors. I found these in Ready Made's gift guide this year, and they are so striking... simple and beautiful, with a little pop of color. The stainless steel ones (above) retail for $20 and the slightly more space-age teflon-coated stainless steel (below) retail for $37. I might order a couple just to have on hand as birthday presents...
