vintage radios

Some of my all-time favorite design objects are vintage radios (both tabletop and transistor) from the 1950s and 1960s.  The radios were usually large (often powered by amplifier tubes) and seem to have been a blank slate for designers of the era.  You can find radios in every color of the rainbow, with design flare ranging from round dials to tail fins.  They are usually just so much fun.
