Death by PowerPoint

In the midst of looking for a job, I often find myself tooling around the internet, reading bits of advice and keeping up-to-date on what's happening in the design world. Tonight I found this helpful presentation on giving presentations. It's worth the 5 minutes it takes to flip through it.

My friends and I have often agreed that learning how to bullshit (pardon my language) is one of the most important skills you learn in design school. The reality is that learning how to communicate to your client (often the teacher in a school setting) is invaluable. Even if you have an amazing design, it won't matter if people don't 'get' it.

  1. This is a superb insight into better use of PowerPoint as a presenting tool. So many presenters lose their way that they need this kind of help.
